Emma

Hey everyone! The name’s Emma and honestly? I’m just trying to survive high school. Not sure what your school is like, but mine is pretty unbearable. You’re constantly trying to figure out who you are, but at the same time, so is everyone else which just leads to a lot of drama, and stupid cliques and feeling left out. I guess you can say I don’t really belong in any of these particular groups, and honestly I'm definitely okay with that because after school, when I can have my freedom back of being online, that’s where I thrive. THAT’S my world.

And what’s not to love about it? I can be anything I want in the digital world, look any way I want, thanks AI and my profile, check it, has a TON of followers. I mean I work really hard at keeping up my digital status. It’s all about the connection you have with others. Making people feel welcome, and heard, and seen. Ya no a comment can go a long way on here.

Let me show you around my network.

I follow all the best influencers. Makeup artists like @YouthfulGlam, they’re always highlighting the best new products on the market, @VibeWithMe posts the best memes, @LevelUpHigh is always playing the latest video game, I, like all of them, live my life online, sharing, liking, commenting. It’s all just so interconnected.

As you can see my niche, is photography? I like to take anonymous photos of people and things and try to understand the person behind the photo or the story of the location. You can tell a lot by looking into a person’s eyes. Are they kind? Rough around the edges, have they experienced pain? Are they confident or are they hiding something?

Don’t believe me?

Next time you take a selfie, or catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, just pause for a minute and try to imagine what a stranger could say about you. For example...

Emma makes a new post, a selfie for the day and captions it reading it out loud.

Emma: Caption a story for today’s selfie.

Hearts start appearing on the screen, followed by a few new friend requests, with one new message. This is where we have our first video interaction with a pre- recorded video of a boy on his computer just like EMMA’s, and the background is blurry.

CHAPTER 2: MEET CUTE
Oskar: Hey Emma. Great to connect. Your page is amazing!

You’re really photogenic too.
